Change is in the air?

DH has decided that he is tired of the craziness that we call our lifes and that it's time to make some changes. What he would love to do is pack up and move to a self sufficient farm out in the middle of no where. He's even gone so far as to get some books so he can read up on how to do this. I have to agree with him that our life is way too crazy and we are way too stressed because of all the running around we do but I'm not convinced yet that this is the solution to the problem. DH and I had been talking over dinner on Saturday about the situation and come Sunday at church wouldn't you know it but our priest said the EXACT same thing that we had been talking about. It was like he'd been sitting in the room with us. So, obviously, He is trying to get our attention. Now just to figure out what direction He is leading in. Up and moving isn't a realistic option as we need my income but DH is confident that at some point in the future my work will offer a telecommuting option (which they are totally unfriendly towards now) and that will be our sign that it's time to move. We'll see...

On a different note...the drs appt for Kenzie went much better today but I'm a little upset that her collar bone has shifted and is now no longer in a straight line, hence the big knot that I've been noticing over the past few days. The xray does show that new bone is forming so that's a good sign. But no soccer for her until the end of August which is totally bumming her out since her travel team starts practicing next week.

Oh my! so what will you grow on the farm? lol...I'm seeing Little House on the Prairie in your future. Poor Kenzie! ((hugs)) to her.

Alpacas. LOL He's been fascinated with them for years. Also wants to have a few horse (for Kenzie of course), some chickens and I forgot what else. Oh my!

Can you raise Alpacas in MD? Or would you be somewhere else? My mom knows a lot of llama ranchers in Oregon. That's similar, right?

Goodness that would be a change!

I hope Kenzie continues to heal.

I have no idea but he's actually looking to move somewhere else outside of MD. He truly wants to go out to the middle of no where. I'm not letting him take any more trips with his dad as his trip to South Dakota is what really started all this. LOL He found a huge ranch for sale out there that he fell in love. Yes, from what I know about them, llamas are similar to alpacas. Big time change...one that I'm not sure I'm ready for yet.

I really wanted to do this but my dh was not at all into it. That's ok because I am thrilled with the direction our life together has taken. Maybe I can live my dream vicariously through reading your blog. :)
